Hi! My name is Pan,

Or also they call me Faunus. I am the fertility god. I protect fields, woods, pastures and other landscapes. Also I’m the god of hunting, rustic music, shepherds and flocks. As you can see I love NATURE. I was born in a estrange way; I am half goat (My ears, feet and horns) and half human (the rest of my body). I wandered the hills and mountains of Arkadia especially over the golden halls of Mount Olympus.

I have an excellent music ability; I play pipes and the Syrinx. My music and me cause fear and inspire “panic” especially in lonely places. I love noise and high-pitched songs. Also I lead the nymphs in dances. As you can see my hobby is MUSIC!

There is a story I’m most famous for: One day I was hunting near Nonacris when I saw a beautiful nymph called Syrinx. But I was so disappointed because she proclaimed herself as a virgin for life and she run away when Syrinx saw me. When she reached the Ladon River, she realized that it was very difficult to pass on her own so she began to pray to be transformed into a reed. Her prayer was granted. So then I made the pipes from the reed and I name them Syrinx in honor of my lost love.
